OSR Rotterdam B.V. is managing a fleet of handysize bulk carriers and is active in shipping for almost 60 years. As part of its company policy and in line with mentioned regulations OSR is also taking steps to reduce its CO2 footprint. We believe that biofuels can play a significant role in the maritime industry’s decarbonization efforts and will reduce shipping’s impact on climate change.
One of the vessels under OSR management, m.v. ” Giorgos Confidence” recently discharged and loaded at Rotterdam and this unique opportunity was used to supply the vessel with biofuels. The usage of the delivered biofuels (blend) results in greenhouse gas emission reductions.
